From 1985, the year of its debut, to today, Rock am Ring is an unmissable event for all lovers of rock and metal music. On the legendary Nürburgring car track, near the town of Adenau, in the Eifel, this event takes place which gathers hundreds of thousands of fans from all over the world.
A feature, probably unique, is the simultaneous organization with a sort of sister festival: Rock Im Park. Same dates and same artists. To change, in Rock Im Park, is only the location: the splendid Nuremberg! Often, the two events are considered a single event.
Every year, on the extraordinary stage of Rock Am Ring, the best bands of the world rock scene perform. From here, great names of international music such as U2, Aerosmith, Smashing Pumpkins, Metallica, Megadeth, Van Halen, Linkin Park, Iron Maiden have passed.
Unforgettable, the performance of Metallica, on 03 June 2006, with Hetfield & Co. who played all the songs of “Master Of puppets”, on the occasion of the twentieth anniversary. An absolutely unmissable show!
In 1989 and 1990, the festival was not organized due to the well-known German political vicissitudes following the fall of the Berlin Wall. Today, the festival is one of the most important, and followed, in Germany and Europe.

PRACTICAL INFO
HOW TO GET
The best way to get to Nürburgring, home of the Rock Am Ring, is by plane. Frankfurt-Hahn and Cologne-Bonn are the two closest airports. Cologne/Bonn Airport, is just under 100km by car, while Frankfurt airport, about 160 km. From both airports it is possible to rent a car to reach the destination. Parking costs €69 for the entire duration of the festival.
For those who want to use only public transport, you can use the official Shuttle bus. From Cologne Airport and from Cologne, on 04, 05 and 06 June, there will be 2 daily departures, both at 11:00 and 18:00. The ticket costs €23.99 per person for a one-way trip. From Frankfurt-Mainkai, 2 daily connections on the same days, at 09:45 and 16:15, at a cost of €28.99 per person, for a one-way trip. Tickets can be purchased online on the official website of the Festival. From Bonn UN Campus, 2 daily connections at 11:35 and 16:35. The ticket costs €23.99 per person
Monday 09th June 2025 connections in the opposite direction. Every hour, from 08:00 to 11:00 in both directions. The costs are the same as the outward journey.

ROCK AM RING 2025 TIMETABLES AND TICKETS
The festival takes place from Friday 06th to Sunday 08th June 2025. On Fridays, access to the festival starts from 1pm. As usual, tickets are sold in different phases with limited number and availability. The Weekend Festival ticket allows access to the festival for all three days. It costs €229 per person and does not include access to the campsite. The FAST LANE supplement, available in just 1000 tickets, costs €229 per person and offers separate access to areas A and B of Utopia Stage.
There are several camping areas within the Festival. To access, you will need to purchase the appropriate Parking & Camping ticket starting from €69 (General). Please remember that access to the Festival is not included in the Camping ticket. It is possible to access the Campsite from 12:00 on 04th June to 12:00 on 09th June.
MINORS AND DISABLED PEOPLE
All children over the age of 16 can participate in the Rock Am Ring. For under 16, the following rules apply:
- Children under 8 cannot participate in the event.
- Children between 8 and 14 can attend the festival only if accompanied by a parent or guardian.
- Children between 14 and 16 years old can attend the concerts until midnight, unaccompanied, as long as they have the appropriate form, duly signed by a parent or guardian.
Disabled people who want to attend the Rock Am Ring can easily see the festival and also access the campsite. The camping area for participants with disabilities is located in area B2, right next to the main entrance. Here, there are toilets accessible to wheelchair users. A General Parking & Camping ticket must be purchased. Disabled people with a valid disability card, by purchasing the Festival Ticket, will receive a second ticket for a FREE companion!
