Horsens Medieval Festival 2024, 30-31 August, Jutland, Denmark

Horsens Medieval Festival

WHERE: Horsens, Denmark
WHEN: 30 and 31 August 2024

Every year in August, the Jutland peninsula hosts one of Denmark’s most important historical events: the Horsens Medieval Festival.

The protagonist is the Danish town of Horsens which, with its centuries-old history, will take you back in time, including extras and costumed figures, knights, musicians, pilgrims and monks.

With 24 years of life and a sensational location, the Festival has become a national reference point, hosted in a large former prison. Here, an incredible entertainment program for adults and children, rides and lots of gastronomy awaits you. The medieval market is certainly one of the most appreciated aspects of the festival. Among the numerous stands, you can enjoy the delights of the country, and the traditional products. Alternatively, always at the large market, you will be able to buy handmade items and products.

Easily accessible, the Horsens Medieval Festival is the best opportunity to discover the beauties of the peninsula, and the nearby Aarhus and Odense. Also ideal for a trip out of town Copenhagen, less than 3 hours away from here.
In our opinion, it is an appreciable event for the authentic atmosphere and the welcome.
