The nickname is well suited to a festival of international appeal, born in the distant 1963 with the aim of spreading the quality of the products of the Galician sea. Fiesta de Interés Turístico has been declared in 2013.

In the small town of O Grove, in Pontevedra, Galicia, the seafood festival takes place every year in conjunction with the Puente del Pilar, An extraordinary gastronomic and culinary event in which, great protagonists, are fish and seafood, many of which are captured at the moment.

The whole city joins in the festivities of the Festa do Marisco O Grove: associations, merchants, fishermen, sailors. HOW TO GET

The Santiago de Compostela airport It is an excellent starting point to reach O Grove. It is the most important and busy airport in Galicia, with about 2 million passengers a year. The airport is well connected, with direct flights, with different European destinations. More info from here.

Just landed, you can rent a car. and reach O Grove in just over an hour. More difficult to get by the means. You have to reach Pontevedra by bus and, from here, with another bus you get to O Grove.
Once in the city, you can easily walk around and set off to explore the Festa do Marisco O Grove.

STANDARD TIMETABLE

Seafood, fish and gastronomy will be the great protagonists. For the duration of the Festival, you can also attend workshops, workshops and activities with prestigious international chefs.

Unlike many food festivals, the Marisco O Grove Festival stands are open during lunchtime and dinner. An excellent opportunity to stop and eat, savoring the best seafood dishes. You choose “a la carte”, you pay the ticket and collect your plate at the stand.
The stands are open every day, from Monday to Friday, from 12:00 to 16:30 and from 19:00 to 22:30; Saturday and Sunday, from 11: 30 to 17: 00 and from 19:00 to 23:00.
