Rock Werchter 2026

Born in 1975, and today a true icon, Rock Werchter is one of the most famous rock festivals in all of Europe. For over 40 years now, the small Belgian town has been suddenly moving, becoming animated like a large metropolis.
The merit is above all of its rich program which, by now, boasts the presence of great international artists. It was on this stage that “hot” names from the music scene followed one another such as Talking Heads, Van Morrison, Metallica, Dire Straits, Depeche Mode, Lou Reed or Neil Young.

Today, Rock Werchter brings together more than 100,000 people, united by a passion for music, becoming one of the most important Rock festivals in all of Europe!

Not just any festival, but one of the most important on the world music scene. It is no coincidence, in fact, that Rock Werchter was awarded the title of European Festival Awards 2016; the prestigious award was awarded for its organization, efficiency and for the line-up of absolute prestige.

PRACTICAL INFO

HOW TO GET

The Leuven train station is the connection center to reach the Festivalpark by public transport.

Werchter is only 40 km from Brussels; therefore, the most comfortable method is certainly the airplane.

From Brussels International Airport, on level -1, direct trains to Leuven leave every hour; once you reach the city, the DE LIJN Bus Shuttle takes you in less than 15 minutes to Werchter. There are two different lines of this Shuttle: Line A takes you to the Haacht stop; the B line is instead destined to those who were directed to the A1 campsite, or to the B and C areas.

From Charleroi Airport, the connection with Werchter is more complicated. At the Terminal take Bus Line A which leads to the Charleroi Sud railway station; from here, a first train goes to the Brussels-Nord station, and, subsequently, a second train leads to Leuven, where you will find the Shuttle DE LIJN.

HOW TO ARRIVE BY CAR

For those wishing to reach Werchter by car, here are the distances from the main European destinations. Amsterdam is just 200 kilometers away, while Paris is around 350 kilometers. From Bern, you travel about 650 kilometers, passing through France and Luxembourg. Berlin is about 750 kilometers away; from Milan, on the other hand, it takes just under 900 km to reach the destination, crossing the Gotthard Tunnel and entering Swiss territory.

You must exit at Rotselaar and, therefore, you reach Werchter.

Near the Festival there are about 15 parking areas, distributed in three large areas A, B, and C. It is not possible to move within the zones, therefore, once you enter one of these you will not be able to park in another ; furthermore, for security reasons, access to vehicles in Campsite areas is prohibited.
