The Belgian beer weekend it is an opportunity to savor the excellent craft beers of the country, and visit the beautiful capital.

Three days full of fun and taste, with many events as a backdrop. Big shows and processions. Solemn inaugurations. Wine tasting. You never get bored at the Belgian beer weekend.

Beer, of course, will be the true protagonist. And in terms of prudence, Belgium is one of the most important countries. A tradition that dates back to the Middle Ages, when beer was produced in the Monasteries. At the Belgian Beer weekend, you will get to know 6 very close “Trappists”:
ABBAYE NOTRE DAME SAINT-REMY; Brouwerij – ABDIJ DER TRAPPISTEN VAN WESTMALLE; Brasserie BIERES DE CHIMAY; Sint Benedictusabdij – Brouwerij van ‘DE ACHELSE KLUIS’; Brasserie d’ORVAL; Brouwerij SINT-SIXTUS.

HOW TO GET

On foot, or by public transport, you can easily reach Grand Place, the beating heart of Brussels and the 2023 Belgian Beer Weekend.

Gare Central and De Brouckere, are the nearest metro stops to the square. Alternatively, you can get there by bus or tram.

FRIDAY 01

13.45, to the Saint Michael and Gudula cathedral, the Celebration of San Arnoldo, patron saint of brewers.
15.45, Solemn inauguration of the beer festival in the Grand Place, in the presence of the brewers, the Grand Master of the Chevalerie du Fourquet des Brasseurs, the mayor and invited guests (limited access to invited guests and the press).

Saturday 02

10.00, Exhibition of historical vehicles used by brewers at the “Nouveau Marché aux Grains”.
13.00, Departure of the parade of wagons and historical vehicles used by brewers on the streets of Brussels.
14.30, Parade of brewers in the Grand Place.

Sunday 03

12.15, Parade of numerous bands and beer fraternities in the streets of Brussels.
