Every year, in a small town less than 100km from Palermo, one of the music festivals not to be missed, on the international scene, is hosted.

An event for which giants like The Times e Independent, have spent many words of praise.
For some, an alternative even to Glastonsbury… with the right proportions.

If you are looking for a fascinating festival, from the unique atmosphere, almost hypnotic … the answer is called Ypsigrock.
In the middle of August, 4 days full of art and music, in the charming Sicilian village of Castelnuovo.

The Independent included him among the music festivals not to be missed in the 2019, alongside sacred monsters like Roskilde, Werchter and Glaston. Of course, not any names.
Ypsigrock is more than just a festival. A real experience. A sort of forma mentis; a fantastic moment of aggregation, in which artistic quality is perfectly combined with the wonderful location. A spectacular main stage awaits you, set in a medieval arch; an eighteenth-century cloister; a splendid pine forest inside a nature reserve and even a deconsecrated church!

A boutique festival, come to the 26th edition, recognized as one of the best European music events up to 10000 viewers. A point of reference between the indie and alternative rock festivals.
The festival is also an opportunity to spend a fantastic weekend in magical Sicily.

PRACTICAL INFO

HOW TO GET

The plane is the best solution to reach Castelbuono from Italy and the main European destinations. Palermo international airport is the reference airport, well connected, with direct flights, to numerous destinations.
From the airport, every day, from 05:00 to 00:30, the Shuttle bus managed by Prestia and Comandè runs to the city of Palermo. The bus takes about thirty minutes.
The bus stops at the central station, from which the SAIS line leaves for Castelbuono. Departures from Palermo at 06:45, 14:30, 16:30 and 18:30. The travel time is approximately 2 hours and the ticket costs €8.60 per person.

Alternatively, you can rent a car from the airport and travel the 122 km that separate the airport from Castelbuono. You have to follow the signs for Cefalu, via the E90, then continuing on the SS286 state road. The travel time is around 100′.

LINEUP, TIMETABLES AND PROGRAM 2023

It starts on Thursday 10, with the Welcome Party and many free events that will take place exclusively within the Camping area. You can attend exhibitions, live performances and DJ sets. Here is the official lineup of the 4 days of the Festival:

• SUNDAY: YOUNG FATHERS – PANDA BEAR & SONIC BOOM – JUST MUSTARD – KIWI JR. – SIKSA + TBA

Opening of the Camping Thursday 10 August from 9:00 until Monday 14 August at 13:00. Check-in operations are possible between 09:00 and 17:00.
Ypsi & Love Stage: from 5pm.
Mr. Y Stage: from 7pm.
Ypsi Once Stage: from 7.30pm.
Closure of the stage areas until the end of the last performance.
