Art Basel 2024

Basel Capital of Art.
Every year, in June, great artists, exhibitors and collectors meet in the Swiss city for one of the largest international art exhibitions: Art Basel.

As usual, there will be over 200 galleries and more than 4000 international artists from all over the world at the fair.
Established artists will share the stage with emerging talents.

There will also be various sections and spaces dedicated to photography and cinema.
Creative works will be installed in various routes around the historic center.

Basel Art has been an incredible success since its first edition in 1970. Both in terms of visitors and critics. So much so that it was exported already in 1999 to Miami Beach and, a few years later, also to Hong Kong. The program, this year, will be completed with Art Basel Paris, for a total of 4 annual events: not bad really!

PRACTICAL INFORMATION

HOW TO GET TO ART BASEL

The exhibition takes place in the large exhibition site of Messeplatz, in Basel.
The central location is easily accessible by public transport. Numerous trams pass through here: 1, 2, 3, 6, 8, 14, 15, 16 and 21. Get off at the Messeplatz stop, right in front of the Messe exhibition area. From this link you will find all the information on how to get around Basel.

PROGRAM 2024

The area is divided into numerous sections. You can admire the galleries with works by great established artists alongside emerging talents.
The Unlimited section, as per tradition, will focus on contemporary and avant-garde works.
Pavilion 1 hosts Art Kids, the area for children aged 4 to 12, curated by professionals in the sector.
