The best way to celebrate the arrival of the new year in Qatar?
Try to do it in the capital, attending the Doha Spring Festival, an extraordinary event for the whole family.
An event in which the watchword will be: fun.

For 15 days, between December and January, the Souq Al Wakrah and the renowned Souq Waqif, will host games, shows and lots of entertainment.

The two large markets, real shopping and bargaining centers, will become the stage for street artists for two weeks. A large open-air theater, in the beautiful Doha.

Of course, between one exhibition and another, be sure to visit the splendid Arab market, a centenary place particularly loved by locals and tourists.

THE PLACES OF THE EVENT

Venues of the Doha Spring Festival will be, as usual, the two most renowned Souqs.
Souq Waqif is located in the center, easily accessible on foot. Alternatively, take the Metro’s Gold Line to get off at the stop of the same name, just a few minutes’ walk away.

The Souq Wakrah is quite recent (inaugurated in 2014), less crowded and less known than the “big brother”, but just as interesting. It rises in a suggestive position, overlooking the sea.
You can reach it by car or by taxi, from the nearest metro stop (Wakra, red line), about 5 km away.
