WHERE: Amiens, France
WHEN: 21 April 2024
With almost 100,000 visitors a year, and more than 2,000 exhibitors, the Grande Rederie Amiens has rightfully entered the ranks of the most important events of its kind throughout the country.
Together with the Braderie de Lille.
The event takes place every year, for only two days in spring (April) and autumn (October).
It is a large flea market, particularly animated and with a festive atmosphere.
Visitors from all over France, England, Belgium, and even from far away Canada, come here looking for an opportunity.
And among the numerous stalls that invade the approximately 15 km of roads, the bargain is always around the corner.
The first Rederie dates back to 1909, but it was only in the 1960s that it was institutionalized. The success of the Grande Rederie is mainly due to its organization, in which professionals (about 700 out of 2000) and amateur sellers coexist harmoniously. And of course the location, right in the center near restaurants and brasseries.

The Grande Rederie Amiens takes place in the center, in an area of about 15,000 square meters, and a total of 51 streets.
Arriving by train, the center can be easily reached on foot.
Antiques abound among professional sellers and are the most sought after items in the large French flea market. Among the inevitable objects there are bags, clothes, accessories, old vinyls and lots of junk. If you love rummaging, you are in the right place!
A visit to the great market cannot be said to have ended without tasting the unique and original Ficelle de Réderie, a true monument of Picardy gastronomy.
Of this stuffed crepe, nothing is left to chance: size, proportions, and, above all, local ingredients, such as Aisne mushrooms, or “Porc d’Antan” ham.
You can enjoy it at Héripré Volailles, at Rue de Metz 21, and at Maison Crépy, at Rue Gresset 9
