CHRISTMAS IN CRAIOVA 2023: THE BEST PLACES
The events of Christmas in Craiova are located along the main streets and squares of the city.
In the central Mihai Viteazul square, you can admire the splendid Christmas tree, which dominates the center of the square, in front of the Town Hall.
Food stands, lights and spectacular scenographies contribute to making Christmas magical in the Romanian city.
Over a million LED lights are used for the set-up!
White lights that decorate trees, an evocative carousel and excellent street-food proposals characterize Shakespeare Square, the cultural place par excellence of the city. Right here, in fact, are the National Theater and the University.
Do the Old Town and Frații Buzești Square host concerts on weekends? Shows and exhibitions, from 6pm to 8pm.
THE FLAVORS OF CHRISTMAS
In Craiova, more than anywhere else, you will be able to savor the authentic flavors of the Romanian gastronomic tradition.

Do not miss a taste of rolled meat or roast duck rolls accompanied by fried polenta. Stuffed prawns and leek dishes. The dried red peppers. All accompanied by excellent wine. Do not exaggerate, however, to gulp plum brandy !!!
