The Foodies Festival is one of the most anticipated and important traveling food events across the UK. Fourteen appointments between England, Scotland and Wales and a truly rich and varied programme.
A festival that combines entertainment, music and good food and which has received great praise and certificates of esteem even from “The Guardian” and “The Daily Telegraph“.
In total, there will be 200 award-winning local artisan exhibitors and producers, from whom you can purchase products directly in the artisan market. Great attention is paid to the quality of local products, health and well-being. Expert nutritionists await you ready to give you tips and advice.
Cardiff Foodies Festival is the second of 14 events, between May and September 2025. Between giant teapots, multi-storey restaurant buses, tents, live music and magical atmospheres, you can bet that you will have a lot of fun. The event will be hosted in the picturesque Bute Park, where you can try the delicacies, walking along the varied landscapes between rivers, victorious gardens and even the ruins of a convent.

From Europe, the best way to reach Cardiff is by plane. The international airport is located in the small village of Rhoose, about 20 km from the capital. By plane there are direct connections with Amsterdam, Dublin, Paris and other European destinations. Bus 905 connects the airport with the Rhoose railway station in 10 minutes and from here you continue by train to reach the capital. Alternatively, bus 304 takes a direct route in around 80 minutes. Tickets cost 7.30£ for adults and 4.90£ for children.
The Cardiff Foodies Festival 2024 will take place in Bute Park, the large urban park in the city, located on North Road. The location is less than 20 minutes walk from the center and the train station (Cardiff Queen Street)
At the Street Food Village you can try flavors and the best delicacies. At The Cakes and Bake Theatre, you can get inspired by the best recipes and prepare spectacular cakes with the stars of the Great Britain Bake Off. In the afternoon, meet for tea in the Vintage tea tent. Finally, for lovers of wine, champagne and craft beer, there is the Drinks Theatre. And, as per tradition, you can watch live performances by Michelin-starred Chefs and MasterChef winners, and see them prepare their best recipes at the La Española Chefs theatre.
And, this year too, there will be a space dedicated to the little ones, who can try their hand at cooking. As for the musical programme, there will be plenty of live music throughout the weekend. It starts on Friday 09 May with Symphonic Ibiza, an eclectic ensemble curated by Andy Joyce. On Saturday 10 there will be Scouting for Girls. Sunday 11 closing with The Wanted 2.0
Friday 09 May, from 14:00 to 22:00. Saturday 10 from 11:00 to 21:00, and Sunday 11, from 11:00 to 20:00.
The WEEKEND PASS, valid for all 3 days of the event, costs 42£ (adults), 16£ for young people (from 12 to 16 years) and 10£ (under 12). With the family ticket, 2 adults and 2 children up to 16 years old can enter at a cost of 92£.
The ticket, valid for a single day, costs 20£ (adults), 8£ (children aged 12 to 16), 5£ (under 12). The single day family ticket costs 44£.
There is also a VIP DAY TICKET, sold at the price of 50£ per adult, valid for a single day and 120£ for the weekend. Allows you to gain access to exclusive areas.
All prices are indicated for the special EarlyBird version which offers a discount of approximately 10% on the total price. In this case tickets are limited. and once finished they will be available at full price.
For masterclasses and special events a supplement is required.
Located a short distance from Bute Park and less than 1 km from the Castle, the Pontcanna Inn is an excellent solution in terms of quality/price ratio. It offers a restaurant, a bar and a garden and features family rooms and a sun terrace.
