In this spectacular setting, from 02 December 2023, you can immerse yourself in the typical Christmas atmosphere.
After the success of the last edition, in fact, also this year the Christmas in Pietrarsa return. You will be able to admire the typical wooden houses decorated and lighted up in the traditional way.
Lights, culture, history and tradition await you at the Christmas markets in Pietrarsa.
The National Railway Museum of Pietrarsa, is located in the eastern suburbs of Naples, near the municipalities of Portici and San Giorgio a Cremano.
From the Naples-Capodichino international airport, the comfortable ALIBUS, at a cost of €5.00 per adult, allows you to arrive at the Naples Central Station. From here, reaching the underground Naples Piazza Garibaldi on foot, trains leave for Pietrarsa / San Giorgio a Cremano (direction Salerno). The arrival stop is adjacent to the museum. The journey takes only 15 minutes.
The Christmas markets in Pietrarsa are open from 02 December, from Monday to Friday, from 10:00 to 23:00. Saturday and Sunday, from 10:00 to midnight. Entrance is allowed up to one hour before closing time.
THE MARKETS WILL BE CLOSED on the following days: 04 – 11 – 24 – 25 and 31 December 2023, and 01 – 02 January 2024.
The Artisans Gallery usually closes at 10pm. The Street Food area at 10:30 pm.
Crafts and gastronomy will be the protagonists of Christmas in Pietrarsa. Among the stands you can taste the delicacies of the Eno-gastronomic tradition of Campania, and handicrafts. There will be an entire area specifically dedicated to food.
In various areas, concerts and staggered shows will be staged to avoid crowds.
There is also a busy program for children with lots of entertainment and playful activities. Do not miss the visit to the house of Santa Claus, with the inevitable throne. The area for sending your postal letters, and the one with the presentation of the “Polar Express” locomotives.
On weekdays, adults pay €8 and children from 4 to 12 years, €5.
On Saturday and Sunday, the entrance ticket costs €12 per adult, and €6 for children.
Children under the age of 4 enter for free with a paying adult.
2€ discount on weekends for those traveling with Trenitalia. The ticket includes access to the museum’s exhibition area and a visit to the Christmas markets.
