Back in 1985, a major musical event was organized to celebrate the new version of the Nürburgring race track. The success was such that, in the following years, the Festival was revived annually, giving life to the legendary Rock Am Ring.
A few years later, given the success in terms of public, the organizers decided to do more. And they created a second event, almost entirely similar. Same formula. Same dates, and artists. With the only difference in the location.
To host the first edition of Rock Im Park, in 1993, was Vienna. Not surprisingly, at the time, the event took the name of Rock Im Wien. In the following years, however, it was the turn of Munich, before the definitive move to Nuremberg.
Rock Im Park, was born from a rib of the Rock Am Ring, of which it is almost completely the same. Performing will be the same artists of the twin Festival, on the same dates, alternating, obviously, the days. As per tradition, big names will perform at the Festival. In addition, in the central area of the Festival, the best, and most varied, selection of Street Food will be waiting for you, with 10 food trucks suitable for everyone …. the rockers.

PRACTICAL INFO
HOW TO GET
Rock Im Park is housed in the Zeppelinfeld, in Nuremberg, not far from the center. The area is easily accessible, which is why the Festival is particularly popular with the very young.
You can easily get there by train, bus and metro S-Bahn. The Nürnberg Frankenstadion Sonderbahnsteig railway station is located in the immediate vicinity. From here, the RE and RB trains pass. Along the nearby Zeppelinstrasse, you will also find bus stops for buses 55 and 96.
With the S-Bahn lines S2 and S3, get off at the Nürnberg-Dutzendteich stop, and then continue for about 15 minutes on foot.
The city of Nuremberg is well connected with the main European and non-European destinations. You can reach the beautiful German city by plane, train, car.

TIMETABLES AND TICKETS ROCK IM PARK 2024
The festival takes place during the first long weekend of June, from Friday 7th to Sunday 09th. On Fridays, access to the festival starts from 1pm.
The Weekend Festival ticket & Camping, at a cost of €279, allows access to the concerts for all 3 days of the festival and to the Camping. You can opt, at the same price, between General or Green Camping. If, however, you opt for the exclusive UTOPIA Campsite, in a privileged position and with direct access to the main stage.
There is also the VIP UPGRADE option which offers numerous benefits including exclusive parking, separate entrance, access to exclusive areas including UTOPIA LOUNGE with free beer, soft drinks and water. The cost of the upgrade is €190 for a single day and €510 for the whole weekend (prices to be added to the cost of the Weekend festival ticket)
Tickets are available in limited quantities and tend to sell out rather easily. It is advisable to move well in advance.
MINORS AND DISABLED PEOPLE
All children over the age of 16 can participate in the Rock Am Ring. For 16 ungers, the following rules apply:
- Children under 8 cannot participate in the event.
- Children between 8 and 14 can attend the festival only if accompanied by a parent or guardian.
- Children between 14 and 16 years old can attend the concerts until midnight, unaccompanied, as long as they have the appropriate form, duly signed by a parent or guardian. Disabled people who want to attend Rock Im Park can easily see the festival and also access the campsite. The barrier-free camping area with special facilities is located near Waldsportplatz Karl-Steigelmann-Str./Kurt-Leucht-Weg.
Disabled people and people with reduced mobility will have a special area available to attend concerts, with an unobstructed view without obstacles, and optimal sound.
Access to the parking area must take place exclusively through Große Straße, Otto-Ernst-Schweizer-Str. The area is well marked by special signs. The FREE registration of the disabled vehicle is mandatory
