Over 40 years behind it and the reputation of being one of the most interesting European events of live theatre, music and visual arts.
This is the Oerol Festival, a summer event that takes place every year on the island of Terschelling, in the Warden Sea, north of the Netherlands.
All dreamers and free thinkers are welcome. Theater. Music. Dance. Art. Shows and parties. Artistic installations… Ten days of pure entertainment.
Oerol Festival offers a constantly evolving program that will satisfy the tastes of even the most sceptical. Especially the under 35s, who in these parts they call “Jopies”.
Because, as the founder Joop Mulder said “if you’re not afraid of your dreams, they’re not big enough”.
The event welcomes over 100,000 visitors every year, testimony to the success and goodness of the organization.

PRACTICAL INFORMATION
HOW TO GET TO THE FESTIVAL
Terschelling, home of the festival, is an island north of the Netherlands, reachable only by sea from Harlingen Haven.
For this reason, despite being a fairly demanding journey, it is preferable to arrive by public transport.
Amsterdam is the ideal base for international visitors. From Amsterdam international airport, you can reach Harlingen in less than 3 hours by train. We change in Leeuwarden. The train ticket costs around €30 at the standard rate.
From Harlingen Haven you continue by boat to Rederij Doeksen, on the island of Terschelling.
OEROL FESTIVAL 2025 PROGRAM
Also for the 2025 edition, 10 days of 360-degree events await you, suitable for all tastes and all ages.
In fact, there will also be events and lots of entertainment designed specifically for children.
There will be shows, live performances, gastronomic workshops. Here is the list of artists already made official:

TICKETS 2025
Until June 12th, it will be possible to purchase passes for Oerol Festival 2025 in advance only on the official website. From June 13th, however, they can be purchased directly on site at full price.
The pass will be issued in the form of a wristband and offers access for the entire duration of the festival, from June 13th to 22nd 2025.
The standard ticket costs €65 (€55 in advance). Jopies (from 16 to 35 years old) pay €35. Children from 4 to 15 years old pay €12.50. Free for children up to 3 years old.
