WHERE: Lyon, France
WHEN: from 30 May to 25 July 2024
Theater, music, dance, opera, circus.
Every summer, during the months of June and July, one of the most important festivals in the region awaits you in the splendid historical setting of the Roman Theater of Lyon: the Nights of Fourviere (Nuits of Fourviere).
A project that since 1946 has promoted art in all its forms, making numerous disciplines coexist, from theater to classical and modern dance.
Over 100 daring and original shows, in a truly unique and evocative setting like few others, on the splendid Fourviere hills.
An event that also represents the dream of bringing this extraordinary archaeological site back to life, reviving it through the presentation of shows.
Two places of great impact in the heart of Lyon: the Grand Théâtre, with its 4,400 seats, and the adjacent Odéon, with its 1,200 seats.
And, don’t forget to throw the cushions you are sitting on on stage: it is an established tradition that anyone does it at the end of the evening as a sign of appreciation.
The nights of Fourviere are a special occasion to discover a fascinating and evocative city like Lyon and, above all, the Fourviere hill from which you can enjoy a truly incomparable view.
