Christmas is ready to embrace Salerno again in an edition… energy saving! The current crisis, in fact, has prompted the organizers to review the program to avoid energy waste during this period of serious crisis.
Despite this, we expect to admire spectacular illuminations, in a riot of lights and colors. Shows and shows. Crib exhibits. In addition to the new installations, in fact, there will also be those of last year. With the suggestive promenade and the historic center of Salerno, as a frame.
The children and the family will be, as usual, the glue of this party. An event dedicated to security, with limited gates and accesses to avoid gatherings.
Not far from the splendid Naples, artist lights is a truly evident not to be missed, for the whole family. An event able to enhance an entire city. Over 100 stands set up at various points of the city, to buy decorations, toys, food products and all sorts of gifts.
The official opening date of Christmas in Salerno 2022-2023 could be Saturday 03 December, at 17:00 sharp. In November we are still waiting for the dates: rare, if not unique, case in all of Europe!
THE PLACES OF CHRISTMAS IN SALERNO

The luminaries of artist’s lights are set up on the waterfront, the municipal villa, wide field, and throughout the historic center. Here, beyond these real works of art, you can stroll through the wooden houses.
As per tradition, a splendid scenography will be set up in the municipal villa. An extraordinary glance for adults and children. In Portanova Square, instead, you can admire the new sparkling Christmas tree.
Lemons, Vietres ceramics in Piazza Sant’Agostino. Beautiful lights at Corso Vittorio Emanuele, a real nerve center and the heart of Salerno’s shopping.

You enter for free. The lights are on just before sunset, and should all be off at midnight.
HOW TO GET
Salerno is easily accessible by car and public transport. The international airport of Naples-Capodichino, is an excellent base to reach the location of Luci d’Artista.
The international airport, well connected to major European destinations, is located just over 50 kilometers from Salerno.
By train or by hiring a car, you can easily get to your destination.
From the center of Naples, Trenitalia and Italo, provide numerous daily connections with the city of Salerno. The trip takes about 40 minutes.
To the north, Rome is about 270 km; Florence, 510 km, while Milan about 810.
WHERE TO PARK
The weekdays are certainly the best to attend Christmas in Salerno. During the weekend, especially after 18:00, you will have much trouble finding parking.
The areas are located away Ligea/Seaport and Via Vinciprova. During the weekends it is advisable to leave your car at the large parking lot at the Arechi Stadium; from here, in the subway or shuttle bus at a cost of 1€, you can easily get to your destination.
