Not a simple festival, but a real experience lasting 5 whole days. The splendid, and evocative, Banffy Castle opens its doors to visitors for Electric Castle Festival, a 360-degree event with extraordinary guests, street performers, cabarets, and a large and elaborate production.
The setting is Cluj Napoca, a splendid town in Transylvania. A truly unmissable opportunity to combine a visit to this truly beautiful place. Maybe, combining it with a fantastic tour in Transylvania.
Electric Castle combines an eclectic musical training with arts, technology and a visually innovative concept. But above all, it is one of the very few European festivals that entertains visitors from day to night. The Festival is strongly carving out a leading role among the European alternative festivals. Also thanks to an interesting musical lineup, with great artists from the electronic and alternative scene. In 2019 it won the European Festival Awards in the “Festival Medium Size” category.
It should be noted that part of the proceeds will be used for the maintenance of the Banffy Castle.
Electric Castle Festival is a worthy alternative to the renowned European summer festivals. We are sure you will not be disappointed at all.

PRACTICAL INFO
HOW TO GET
From the main European destinations, you can get to Cluj Napoca by direct flight.
The Banffy Domain, with the Castle, is located in the small village of Bontida, about 30 kilometers from Cluj Napoca. By car, you have to travel about 30 kilometers on the E576. From the airport, the distance is 23 kilometers.
Alternatively, for the duration of the festival, a regular bus service runs from Horia Demian Sports Hall and Iulius Mall. On the way back, the buses stop at Piata Marasti and Horia Demain Sports Hall. The service is active throughout the day, including the night. The last bus leaving from Bontida is scheduled for Monday at 13:00. Tickets can be purchased from bus stations.
It is also possible to arrive by train to Bontida from the central station of Cluj Napoca, or by public transport. Trams 101, 102 and bus 9 stop in the Romanian village.

The most anticipated artists will perform at the MAIN STAGE. The second large area is HANGAR where all the emerging artists perform during the afternoon, before transforming (at midnight) into a huge nightclub for dancing and romping all night long.
At BOOHA, non-stop fun for all lovers of house, groovy house, bass, disco and melodic techno. HIDEOUT is the most intimate area of the Electric Castle Festival, which best represents its spirit: here you can listen to bossa nova, cumbia, bossa breaks, rare grooves, afro beat, nu jazz, funk, northern soul.

TICKETS 2025
GENERAL ACCESS PASS is the complete ticket to attend the 5 days of the festival. Does not include camping. It costs 249€ (169€ in presale in a limited offer) per person. Children up to 21 pay 199€ (119€ in presale). At a cost of 79€ the CAMPING PASS is available with access to the campsite for the entire duration of the festival. You can choose between REGULAR CAMPING, or the alternative QUIET CAMPING in an exclusive area away from the chaos and noise. Ideal for those who want to unplug a little!
ELECTRIC CASTLE FESTIVAL PREMIUM PASS is the full festival subscription with related benefits. Among them, perfect view high up on the Main Stage !. And, in addition, separate priority entrance; private toilets; exclusive private bar; lounge and shaded areas, and much more. It costs 349€ (without access to the campsite).
WHERE TO SLEEP
There are various solutions suitable for all needs and personal comforts. At the campsite you can take advantage of a truly complete and unique experience to attend the Electric Castle Festival 2025. You can choose to pitch your tent in the appropriate area of the campsite, or in the area dedicated to CAR CAMPING (near your car). Then there are tents, igloos and small mobile homes already installed and ready for use. In this case you have to book well in advance, with prices ranging from a minimum of €99 for a pre-installed tent to a maximum of €699 for a FANCY CABIN. The latter is located in the GLAMPING area equipped with all comforts.

Wow, I can’t believe Electric Castle Festival is already happening in 2024! It feels like just yesterday I was dancing the night away at the festival grounds. This year’s lineup looks incredible, with so many talented artists and DJs scheduled to perform. I’m definitely marking my calendars for July 17-21st, it’s going to be a week of pure bliss 😍
