XXVI anniversary for one of the most interesting body painting art festivals on the European scene. After a long forced break, the WBF is ready to welcome visitors to the splendid capital of Carinthia, in southern Austria.

Since 1998, the World Bodypainting Festival has entertained visitors with artistic performances, art, body art, shows, shows, fashion and live music. The WBF is much more than a simple and colorful party.

Here you will find the best artists, coming from more than 40 different countries, ready to showcase their art in different forms; and, above all, with all the tools available: brushes, airbrushes and the most modern techniques. Visitors will be able to admire their art and become works of art themselves!

At the WBF, you can also attend the official Bodypainting world championships, inside the “Open Air Art Park” area. As mentioned, music is the absolute protagonist of the event. It ranges from techno / dance to reggae, to Latin. The edition will feature national and international artists.

The kermesse officially starts on September 26th, but it is only on 29 and 30 September that it officially comes to life.

HOW TO GET

Klagenfurt am Whörtersee can be easily reached by train from major European cities. Klagenfurt HBF is the Central Railway Station from which short / medium range trains depart. The city of thorns of a small airport, from which charter flights depart for Hamburg, Cologne/Bonn and Vienna. The closest international airport is Ljubljana Jože Pučnik Airport, in Slovenia. Here are the options:

• Salzburg Airport (Distance: 150 km)
• Vienna Airport (Distance: 230 km)

From Ljubljana, the Link Alpe Adria bus / shuttle takes you to your destination.

Unlike previous editions, this year the event will be held indoors, in the Klagenfurt convention area, at the “Messe Arena“. The is centrally located only 5 minutes walk from Klagenfurt main station.

WBF 2023 PROGRAM

Great “appetizer” from 26 to 28 September with seminars and workshops for the more rich and complete training and education program on the art of body painting. All courses, strictly limited in number, will be held by professional instructors.

As per tradition, this year too there will be a fantastic and selective musical program to accompany the three days of the Bodypainting Festival. From morning until late evening, international artists, emerging bands and DJs will perform. The music and genres are quite varied: reggae, hip hop, dancehall, pop, country, and many more. Every day you can go wild with the DJ Contest; the best international artists will make you dance all night long.
