From the end of November, an appointment in the splendid setting of the Sorrento peninsula, to admire the city in a truly incredible and evocative guise, like never before, during the year.
The beautiful tree dominates Piazza Tasso, with its light shows every hour. Musical bands entertain visitors through the streets of the historic center. Everywhere you can breathe the magic of Christmas. And, above all, the smells and aromas of the many delicacies that are prepared in these parts.
Christmas in Sorrento is a truly unmissable event that lasts throughout December, until the day of the epiphany. Throughout the period there will be a really rich program to entertain adults and children.

CHRISTMAS IN SORRENTO 2024
THE PLACES OF THE PARTY AND HOW TO GET THERE
Naples is a perfect starting point for arriving in Sorrento. From the Campania capital you can use numerous public transport to get to your destination: bus, Circumvesuviana train and even the ferry (by sea it is a truly fascinating journey).
By car it takes just over an hour (traffic permitting). At the weekend, expect long queues and difficulties in parking in the center.
The party takes place along the streets of the historic center, Corso Italia, Piazza Venerio. Piazza Tasso, with its sparkling tree, will be the real centerpiece of Christmas in Sorrento.
CHRISTMAS MARKETS 2024
Christmas is, above all, synonymous with markets, stands…
The main markets are set up in Piazza Venerio, and in Villa Fiorentino, from 04 December to 06 January 2025. The wonderful Living Nativity Scene is set up in the Gardens of the Episcopal Palace (Sorrento Cathedral). The latter is open to visitors exclusively on 02, 04, 05, 06 January 2025, from 17:30 to 20:00.
Along Corso Italia, until 19th January 2025, the best Christmas street food awaits you.
OFFICIAL TIMES AND PROGRAM 2024
It officially starts on Saturday 23rd November 2024 with the lighting of the beautiful Christmas tree at 18:00 in Piazza Tasso and the splendid light shows that will be activated at every precise hour.
On 08, 25 and 26 December and 01, 02 and 03 January, until 21:00, Piazza Tasso hosts the Puppet Theater dedicated to the little ones.
From 06th to 08th December, in Piazza Lauro, lots of entertainment and gastronomy await you with the Sorrento Street Food Village.
From Wednesday 04th to Sunday 08th December, a delicious appointment in Piazza Veniero with Chocoland, the Chocolate village, now in its seventh edition.
Don’t miss the big New Year’s Eve party in Piazza Tasso. It starts at 18:00 with the traditional Ciuccio di Fuoco in Piazza Tasso. Show, music and DJ set starting at 11pm. At 1am fireworks from Marina Piccola.
