Los Angeles Airport is one of the most important airports in the United States, located about 30 km south-west of the Californian city.
Gateway to the USA, it is also known as LAX.
With over 80 million passengers a year, it is also one of the busiest airports in the world, preceded in 2018, only from Atlanta, Beijing and Dubai.
LAX is the hub of United Airlines, Alaska Airlines and U.S. Coast Guard.
The gigantic complex occupies an area of 14 km2 for a total of 9 Terminals. Moving around Los Angeles Airport could be quite complicated!
Every day there are guaranteed direct connections with all the continents, and a total of 69 international destinations.
Bars, basic services, refreshment points, duty-free are available in all Terminals. For the little ones, there are spaces and special entertainment and change areas, easily located on the maps at the airport. The wifi line is available throughout the hotel.

LOS ANGELES AIRPORT – CITY LINKS
Between the 9 airport terminals, you can move around for FREE using the shuttle service, which runs every day, including holidays.
CAR
By car you can easily move to and from the airport and move around the city. In this sense, the car also represents a good solution for travel within the Los Angeles metropolitan area.
If you land in LAX, it is preferable to rent your car directly at the airport. From this link, you can get the cheapest rates.
The rental agencies are all located outside the airport, quite far from the terminals. Typically, courtesy shuttles are used to arrive at the rental point.
FLYAWAY
A convenient transfer service, aboard modern and comfortable buses. Connects LAX with Hollywood, Long Beach, Union Station and Van Nuys.
Rates vary depending on the route. From Los Angeles Airport to Hollywood, the cost is $8.00. The stop is on Vine Street, near the station of the same name on the Red Line.
For Long Beach (connected to the Blue Metro), the cost is $9.00. For Union Station and Van Nuys, the price is $9.75.
Two children up to 5 travel free with a paying adult.
BUS
The free SHUTTLE G shuttle allows you to reach the Aviation/LAX station from the different Terminals, connected to the Green light metro line.
From the latter, numerous bus lines depart that allow you to reach different areas of the metropolitan area of L.A.
Bus 109 Beach Cities Transit connects Redondo Beach. The Big Blue Bus line 3 Rapida allows you to reach Santa Monica, via Lincoln Blvd.
Commuter Express offers connections with buses 438 and 574 for Redondo Beach and Encino/Granada Hills.
Metro, the main company that manages public transport in the city, offers additional bus connections to/from LAX. Lines 102, 111, 117, 120, 232 and 625 connect Los Angeles Airport with Norwalk Station, Century Bl and Imperial Hwy, South Gate, Tijera Bl, Exposition Bl, Whittwood Town Center, Downtown Long Beach, Pacific Coast Hwy.

TAXI
The taxi rank is located outside each Terminal, on the lower floor of the Arrivals Hall. Just follow the yellow signage.
Keep in mind that only 10 private companies can perform service. The vehicles are identifiable by the presence of the special badge issued by the Department of Transportation of the city of Los Angeles. You will also be given an information with the rates for the main destinations.
Remember to always leave a missing amount, preferably in cash, of an amount not less than 25% of the total rate.
Using unofficial taxis is not recommended.
