The English capital, in fact, boasts an impressive number of markets.
All major districts boast, more or less, the presence of their own market. Each with their own identity. Each is inextricably linked to the neighborhood that hosts it.
Here are some of the London markets you shouldn’t miss. Visiting each market will take some time, which is why the choice, as well as the time available for your holiday, will be dictated by subjective and, above all, logistical reasons. Here are some of the London markets not to be missed (certainly not the best) with what we believe to be the most useful information for a visit. For example, the district that hosts it and the proximity to a particular museum: in this way you can make the most of the time available.
DISTRICT: Notting Hill, Kensington
TRANSPORT: Underground, Circle, Hammersmith & City. Bus 7, 23, 52, 70, 228, 452, N7.
PLACES OF INTEREST: Diana Memorial Playground (1100m). Kensington Palace (1700m).
OPENING HOURS: from Mon to Thurs (reduced), 10:00-18:00. Fri and Sat, 07:00-19:00. Closed on Sundays and holidays.
FAMOUS FOR: In existence since the 19th century, Portobello Market is one of the most famous in London.
And, definitely, one of the busiest and busiest.
Especially on Saturdays.
A lively and colorful market that has kept its charm intact over the decades.
Above all because it is linked to Notting Hill, one of the districts that has rightfully entered the collective imagination.
It stretches for just under 3 kilometres, starting at the crossroads with Chepstow Road, where there are many valuable antique shops, alternating with stalls selling trinkets and souvenirs.

PLACES OF INTEREST: London Bridge (350m). Shakespeare’s Globe (500m). Tower Bridge (900m).
OPENING HOURS: Tuesday to Saturday, 10am-5pm. Sunday, 10-16. Closed on Mondays and public holidays.
FAMOUS FOR: Borough Market is considered one of the landmarks of London street food. Ideal for a break, it is the perfect place for a quick meal and to taste some delicacies in one of the numerous stands present. In addition to the inevitable fish and chips, you can enjoy international cuisine.
An extraordinary explosion of aromas and flavours.
For many, Borough is an unmissable stop on a holiday in London.
DISTRICT: Camden
MEANS OF TRANSPORTATION: Metro, Northern Line (stop Camden). Buses 18, 27, 29, 30, 46, 68, 88, 134, 205, 214, 253.
PLACES OF INTEREST: Primrose Hill (600m). London Zoo (1400m). Platform 9 and 3/4 of Harry Potter (2000m).

FAMOUS FOR: Camden Market, in the neighborhood of the same name, is one of those places that hardly go unnoticed.
Beautiful, lively, alternative, it is a must during a holiday in the beautiful capital of London.

FAMOUS FOR: A market that takes its name from the neighborhood that hosts it. It is one of the best known London markets, always lively and lively. Arranged over several floors, it houses numerous stalls and shops that really offer everything: fashion items, antiques, musical items…
Being a market, there will be no shortage of Street-food proposals suitable for all palates.

OPENING HOURS: from Mon to Fri, 10:00-18:00. Sat and Sun, 09:00-23:00.
FAMOUS FOR: a lively market where you can really find everything: various objects, jewels, handmade products, small art objects, artisan food.
It also houses stalls with used and vintage clothes and curious ones. You often also find quality and non-trivial objects. Pay attention to the proposals on Thursday, the day dedicated to vintage and antiques.
DISTRICT: Greenwich
MEANS OF TRANSPORTATION: Metro, Jubilee Line (stop North Greenwich). Bus 129, 177, 188, 199, 286, 386, N1, N199. Boat, stop Greenwich Pier, lines RB1, RB2, RB6
PLACES OF INTEREST: Cut Sark (100m). National Maritime Museum (100m). Royal Observatory (800m).
OPENING HOURS: from Mon to Sun, 10:00-17:30.
FAMOUS FOR: A historic covered market with numerous shops and stalls offering a variety of products: antiques, souvenirs, small artifacts, clothing and, of course, international street food.
