Alexandre Papadiamandis is an international airport located on the island of Skiathos, Greece. Named after the great 19th-century Greek writer, it only serves seasonal routes, with the exception of the Greek capital, which is connected all year round. Due to the particular terrain of the island, the airport was created by recovering a portion of land on the sea between Skiathos and the small adjacent islet of Lazareta, an ancient colony of hares.
A Greek duty-free and refreshment points (not many) are located in the departures area of the terminal. Throughout Skiathos airport you can use the wifi line for FREE, connecting with your despotic network to the “Fraport-Free“; you will need to follow the instructions on the welcome page before connecting.
With its narrow and short runway (just 1628 meters), take-off and landing require skills that require pilots to undergo specific and further training!
