HOW TO GET TO SKIATHOS

Athens airport is a good intermediate stop, connected with direct flights with Alexandre Papadiamandis, the small international airport that serves the island. In high season there are daily air connections between the island and the capital. The journey takes just 40 minutes.
The plane is the ideal solution to reach the island of the Sporades, if you do not need to bring the car with you. After all, one idea to consider when getting around the island is to rent a scooter or a car.

The Ferry Terminal is located near the center of Skiathos Town, less than 4 kilometers south of the international airport. Hellenic Seaways and Anes Ferries are the shipping companies that guarantee up to 19 daily crossings.
Ferries connect Skiathos and the islands of the Sporades archipelago with the rest of Greece. Connections with Volos, Agios Konstantinos, Thessaloniki, Mantoudi and Glyfa (in Greece); Glossa and Skopelos, on the Island of Skopelos, and Alonissos.
From Volos, the island can be reached in about 2 hours and 30 minutes; in summer, Greek shipping companies offer up to 3 crossings per day.
