Rhodes Diagoras is an international airport located to the north of the island of the same name of the Dodecanese, about 15 kilometers from Rhodes Town. It is one of the busiest airports in all of Greece; in 2016, more than 5 million passengers have passed through this airport!
Rhodes Airport has only one Terminal and one freight yard. Inside, there are some refreshment points, bars and a duty-free shop, and ATMs. The wifi line is available FREE throughout the building. Just connect your device to the “Fraport-Free” network and follow the instructions on the screen.
The airport is connected to numerous destinations, but air traffic, with minor exceptions, is limited only to the high season.

There is only one bus from the airport that connects the center of Rhodes. The bus stop is located about 300 meters from the exit of the airport terminal. From Rhodes Town, the bus stop is located on Averof Street, near the central bus station.
The ticket costs €3.05 for a one-way journey and can be purchased online from this link. The bus runs every day, from Monday to Sunday, including holidays, with 15 daily trips, from 05:15 to 21:30.
At the Rhodes airport you will find numerous agencies to rent a car. Given the extent of the island, you may probably need a vehicle to get around the island. Our advice, however, is to book in advance directly online, in order to obtain competitive rates. On the spot, the Greek agencies are cheaper.
As soon as you leave the terminal you will find the taxi rank. Generally a ride to/from the center takes just under 30 minutes with prices starting from little less than 30€. There are additional fees for the transport of luggage and additional people.
