Shopping in London… it’s serious business.
If you are on vacation you will hardly resist the urge to shop.
The temptations are so many. For adults and for children.
Between large shopping centres, themed shops, endless shopping streets and markets, you will be spoiled for choice.
During your holiday it will be almost impossible not to set foot in the Harrods department store. Twelve million customers buy in the famous shop every year, leaving with the famous green envelopes with gold lettering . An iconic place, which goes far beyond the very idea of shopping in London. It is, in fact, a real tourist destination. The department stores are located on Brompton Road, in one of the wealthiest areas of London. Inside, 7 floors (including two underground) and over 300 departments await you, with interiors inspired by Ancient Egypt.
In London, the winter sales begin on December 26th: Harrods offers exceptional discounts. If you are a shopping lover, you will absolutely have to catapult yourself into this huge warehouse where you can really find everything, including the most exclusive souvenirs of the British capital. Right inside these famous warehouses, you may decide to stop for dinner; between meat, fresh fish, Japanese, Italian, or a typical fish and chips expertly prepared at the “Sea Grill” you will be spoiled for choice.
It is open every day, from Monday to Saturday from 10.00 to 21.00. Sunday from 11.30 to 18.00.
If you can’t resist your irrepressible shopping urge, pop over to Oxford Street. Here, the big clothing chains await you. At Primark, known for its fairly cheap prices, you can find fantastic clothes or accessories. Shortly after, going down to your left, there is Selfridges, one of the most important department stores in the world. It is divided over 6 floors and over 40,000 square meters. You will find big brands, but also 11 refreshment points, and many services.
Leaving Oxford Street, continue to the intersection of Oxford Circus, one of the busiest intersections in the world! To the right is the famous Regent Street, known for its luxury shops, and for the Christmas lights that attract thousands of tourists. Further on is Carnaby Street.
The street is renowned for being a frequent venue for fantastic shopping events, live music and pop-up concepts. You will walk among independent boutiques, and trendy “made in London” brands such as Paul Smith, Fred Perry, Ben Sherman.
Hamleys is an authentic paradise of toys, truly immense, which will delight the little ones.
From M&M’s world it will be almost impossible to escape unscathed along the 3 floors of delicacies. As in the Lego Store, dedicated to the legendary bricks, which stands right on the opposite side.
