Berghain Panorama Bar. Guide and practical info about the best Berlin club

Berghain Panorama Bar

Undisputed temple of the world’s most famous DJs, a cult place for all lovers of techno and the underground scene … and more. The Berghain Panorama Bar is in all respects one of the most famous and attractive places in the world, so much so that, for many young people, alone, it is worth a visit to the city of Berlin.

Djmag, a cult magazine in the field of clubbing, has included the venue in the Top Ten of the best clubs in the world of 2020!

Located near the Ostbahnhof station, the Berghain Panorama Bar is housed within the premises of a former power plant in East Berlin and officially opened in 2004. The main hall, the Berghain, can seat up to 1,500 people and mainly offers techno and industrial music. In the room upstairs, on the other hand, called “Panorama Bar”, a more experimental electronic music is proposed: from house to garage to contemporary contaminations.

Berghain Panorama Bar

This place, which has now become a real must for many tourists (and perhaps for many Berliners), has become a real challenge. The reason is due, above all, to the enormous difficulty in being able to enter, so much so that on the web there are numerous tips and tricks on how to succeed in the enterprise. There are also dedicated apps. Do not be discouraged, therefore, if you find endless lines of young people outside: here, they are used to grueling waits, even under bad weather. Arm yourself with strength and courage and, above all, with a lot of patience. The queue that awaits you will last at least one hour. If you are in a group, try to divide: maybe a little at a time you will be able to enter and you will see that it will be really worth it.

PRACTICAL INFO

HOW TO GET TO THE BERGHAIN PANORAMA BAR

The Berghain is located at Wriezener Bahnhof 70, about 3 kilometers from the central Alexanderplatz. It can be easily reached by public transport. Numerous S-Bahn stops stop at the nearby Ostbahnhof station. By metro (U-Bahn), you can use the U5 line instead and get off at the Weberwiese stop, just 10 minutes from here. Grünberger Str./Warschauer Str., Is the stop for the M10 tram that you can use to reach your destination.

INFO AND TICKETS

The entrance price, in line with the best Berlin club houses, is around €20. Obviously the cost is subject to variations according to the program. You can consult the updated program on the official website.

At the entrance, an extremely affable man (!!!!) will take care of making a nice skimming between elected (those who will enter) and non-elected (the poor people forced to go back). They say you have to dress “dark”; there are even those who pretend to be gay! The selection, in my opinion, is completely random, without logic. The big man at the entrance will tell you the fateful sentence, and you will enter (or in the worst case, return to the hotel). Be wary of those who speak ill of this place: it is only because they did not have the good fortune to enter !!!

Please follow the rules applied in the area regarding COVID-19.
