Phuket is an island of extraordinary beauty, as well as the largest by extension in all of Thailand.
Tourist destination par excellence, the island attracts visitors for its picturesque villages, its beautiful waters …
Few places can boast such an extraordinary mix of history, art, nature and tradition.
You can admire the 29 Buddhist temples scattered almost everywhere, and the Great Buddha, on the promontory of a hill.
Phang-Nga Bay and the beautiful Sirinat Park.
Without forgetting the numerous events that take place throughout the year. How not to mention, for example, the incredible Vegetarian Festival.
Phuket town, on the other hand, is the starting point for discovering the Thai island. You can contemplate its fascinating architecture, its historic center, the market, and much more.
HOW TO GET TO PHUKET
PLANE
The island can be easily reached by plane from Bangkok. Phuket International Airport is one of the most important in Thailand for air traffic.
From the capital are guaranteed, on average, from 10 to 20 daily flights (pandemic permitting !!). Thai Lion Air, Thai Vietjet Air and Nok Air are among the airlines offering direct connections to Phuket. The journey takes approximately 80 minutes.
The airport is located in the north of the island, not far from the Sirinat National Park, and about 30 kilometers from the Old Town. To move from the airport, you can choose between buses, taxis and cars. The latter is, in our opinion, the best solution for moving from the airport and visiting the beautiful Thai island.
From this link you can make a price comparison for the rental of your car, possibly booking at the best price.
Alternatively, you can rent a car at the counters at the airport.
