Corfu Island

Corfu, also known as Kerkyra, is a splendid Greek island in the Ionian Sea, on the border between Greece and Albania, second in surface and extension to Kefalonia alone.

A favorite destination for Italian vacationers, thanks to its proximity to our country, the island conquers not only for its beautiful beaches and crystal clear waters, which each year attract an incredible flow of tourists from all over Europe, and beyond …. The small villages with white houses, the numerous Byzantine churches scattered almost everywhere, the numerous museums, the mild, warm and sunny climate throughout the island, and the presence of the homonymous city whose historic center has been declared heritage of humanity by UNESCO. And the capital is truly a noteworthy town, which will immediately conquer you for its beauty, with the ancient Venetian remains, the castles and the remains of the main fortress, its narrow and cobbled streets, and the elegant new city.

The whole island has important testimonies: the bay of Castrades where there is part of a necropolis with the famous tomb of Menekrates, the remains of the temple of Poseidon at the foot of the Ascension hill, the archaeological village of Cassiope.

But, of course, we are in Greece, and therefore, to be the host are also and, above all, its wonderful beaches: Aghios Georgios, Aghios Gordios, Kassiopi, Kalami, Barbati, Glyfada, Sidari, Paleokastritsa to name the most famous ones.
