Ioannis Kapodistrias is the international Corfu Airport, located about 3 kilometers south of the homonymous city. Named in memory of the diplomat, the first head of state of independent Greece, it has two terminals and entered into operation in 1962. CORFU AIRPORT CONNECTIONS – CENTER
Those wishing to reach Corfu Town by public transport can use the blue bus line 15, whose stop is located in front of the Ioannis Kapodistrias airport exit. The complete journey to the port takes 15 minutes and the ticket costs €1.10 (€1.70 if purchased on board the vehicle). The bus stops in 10 minutes at San Rocco Square, the city center.
There are about 10 trips every day, from about 7:10 am to 9:30 pm.
Those who prefer to rent a car directly at the airport (recommended), simply have to follow Route 25 which leads to the city center. The journey is quite short.
The car is the best solution to reach the center and, above all, to move around the island.
The taxi rank is located outside the airport, on the ARRIVALS side. The service operates 24/7. The journey to the center takes about 10 minutes. the cost is around € 10. It is always recommended to check in advance the rate applied by the taxi.
