Vienna city Card to travel and visit attractions for free. Prices, types

Vienna city Card

Flexipass. Vienna Pass. EasyCityCard… 3 cards to have all the best of the Austrian Capital “in your hand”.Including unlimited transportation.

The first two cards (Flexipass and City Pass) have the same functionality but differ in the type of use and, above all, in the price. Flexipass allows you to choose the number of attractions to visit during your stay, from a minimum of 2 to a maximum of 5 attractions. City Pass, on the other hand, allows you to visit all the attractions you want, for the duration you choose, from a minimum of 1 day to a maximum of six.

CHOOSING THE RIGHT VIENNA CITY CARD

With the Vienna Pass you will have access to all the most important attractions and monuments of Vienna, including full access to Shonbrunn Palace and Gardens and Vienna’s 4 Hop-on-Hop-off lines. The preferable cut is the 3-day one because it allows you to make the most of unlimited access (the same attraction cannot be visited twice). The card is valid for one or more days, and not for hours. If you purchase the 1-day card (not ideal in our opinion), it will expire at midnight on the same day it was validated.

Vienna City Card

If you intend to access only a certain number of attractions and monuments, Flexi Pass can represent the right compromise. In this case you can choose from a minimum of 2 to a maximum of 5 attractions (Zoo, Schonbrunn Palace, Madame Tussauds, Hop-on-Hop-off Bus…).

Before purchasing, our advice is to do the calculations well because the convenience is quite evident only if you intend to visit certain attractions (Zoo or Madame Tussauds). In other cases you end up not saving at all… on the contrary!

DENOMINATIONS AND PRICES OF THE TWO CARDS

Flexipass is available for 2, 3, 4 or 5 attractions out of approximately 60 available. Valid for 60 days from first use. Here is the cost:

  • 2 attractions: €49 adults. €27 reduced (children aged 6 to 18).
  • 3 attractions: €67 adults. €37 reduced.
  • 4 attractions: €85 adults. €45 reduced.
  • 5 attractions: €99 adults. €55 reduced.

Vienna Pass is an all-inclusive card that offers unlimited access to 90 attractions for the selected number of days. Includes access to the 4 Hop-on-Hop-off lines. Here are the types and prices:

  • 1 day pass: €89 adults and €47 children.
  • 2-day pass: €127 adults and €65 children.
  • 3-day pass: €159 adults and €79 children.
  • 6-day pass: €199 adults and €99 children.

EASYCITYPASS VIENNA

Flexi Pass and Vienna Pass DO NOT OFFER ACCESS TO PUBLIC TRANSPORT. In this case, if you want to travel unlimitedly on the city’s public transport network you will have to purchase the EasycityPass.

Thanks to this card you will have unlimited use of public transport for 24 hours (€15.90), 48 hours (€21.90), 72 hours (€26.90) or 7 days (€35.90). The strong point is the fact that an adult and a child up to 15 years of age can travel with a single card. If you are a family of 2 adults and 2 children, therefore, you will only need to purchase 2 cards.
