This summer, the sky of Madrid will be painted in the colors of the rainbow again with one of the most important LGTB events in the world.
Eleven days of unbridled fun with lots of events, concerts and exhibitions in the center of Madrid. The heart of the event will be Chueca, a very central Madrid neighborhood, extremely tolerant.
World Pride Madrid, now also known as MADO, opens its doors to all visitors. Not only to the LGTB community (lesbian, gay, trans and bisexual), but also to those who are simply curious.
Around here, they talk about LGTB pride. And, indeed, the World Pride Madrid festival, despite its excesses, is a hymn to life, peace, tolerance, respect. Freedom of expression. Against prejudices. Against hatred and oppression.

The program is, as usual, quite busy. Live music and free concerts. Party, art and culture. Sport. And, also, events in the event, such as the We Pride Festival: 8 parties unleashed from morning to evening, spread over 5 days.
The most awaited moment will, of course, be the big parade on Saturday 06 July 2024.

PRACTICAL INFO
HOW TO GET
By plane, Madrid can be easily reached from all over the world. Barajas International Airport is well connected, with direct flights, to the main European and non-European destinations. Furthermore, from the airport you can reach the center by public transport rather easily.
Alternatively, you can opt for the car or the train to get to your destination.
WE PRIDE FESTIVAL 2024 PROGRAM
Over the course of the eleven days, the streets of Chueca and the center will be invaded by the atmosphere of World Pride Madrid.
In Plaza de Chueca, Plaza de Colon, Plaza de Espana, Puerta de Alcala, just to name a few, free shows, exhibitions and concerts await you. And, lots of activities.
The many outdoor bars will offer live music.
A WorldPride Park will also be set up, an information and cultural exchange space, open to anyone.
It starts on Friday 28 June 2024 with Chueca’s Pride: there will be many events scattered throughout the various clubs in Chueca. Wednesday 03 July appointment with the Pregón del Orgullo which marks the official start of the review. On Thursday 4th there will be the Heel Run, one of the most curious events of the event in which participants will have to run wearing shoes with heels of at least 6 cm. More info from this link.
On Friday 05 July 2024, however, MR Gay Espana, a grand gala now in its 16th edition. But the highlight will be, like every year, the great final parade on Saturday 06 July. As per tradition, the procession will pass through the most emblematic streets of Madrid: Paseo del Prado, Puerta de Alcalá, Plaza Colón. More than 2 million people expected!
