WASHINGTON DULLES AIRPORT CONNECTIONS
SILVER LINE EXPRESS
Convenient and economical, the SILVER LINE EXPRESS connects the airport and the Wiehle-Reston East metro station.
The service is carried out with modern and comfortable buses, also equipped with wifi during the journey.
You will need to go to the Arrivals Hall 4, located in the center of the Terminal. Here, you can buy tickets for $5.00 per person. Free for children under 2 years old.
The service is active from Monday to Friday, from 06:00 to 22:20. Saturday, from 07.45 to 22:40. Sunday, from 07.45 to 21:40.
METROBUS
The Express 5A line connects Washington Dulles Airport with Enfant Place in the Downtown area.
The bus passes the Rosslyn Metro station, where the Orange, Blue and Silver lines pass.
The ticket to/from Rosslyn costs $7.50 at the full rate. The journey takes about 30 minutes.
TAXI
Convenient, fast but extremely expensive.
The service is active 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Parking is located outside the Terminal, following the specific instructions, clear and precise.
Washington Flyers are official taxis, operating in Washington Dulles, easily identifiable also by the presence of the logo (generally on the side of the car).
The rates are applied for each fraction of a mile (0.25).
We start from a base of $6.50 to which we must add the cost of the journey. You pay 0.54$ for every 0.25 miles traveled. There is also a surcharge for each passenger ($1.50) and for large baggage.
Hand in hand, a taxi journey from Washington Dulles Airport, in the center, for 2 people, costs around $70, plus tip.
VIRGINIA LINKS
Virginia Breeze‘s modern and efficient buses connect Union Station to Washington with Blacksburg, Virginia. Every day, a connection is active from Blacskburg (Virginia Tech, Squires Student Center) at 08:00, and in the opposite direction at 09:20. The complete journey takes about 6 hours, passing through Washington Dulles Airport, Lexington, New River Valley, Shenandoah Valley and
Northern Virginia.
The ticket price varies from a minimum of $15.99 to a maximum of $52.99 depending on the distance.
