The 38 cubes, inclined at 45°, are the work of Piet Bloom who wanted to recreate the image of a sensational forest in the center of Rotterdam.
Each apartment is spread over 3 floors. The living area is located on the first floor. On the second, the sleeping area with the bedrooms. On the third floor there is a single room in the shape of a pyramid with 18 windows. All furnishings are obviously made to measure.

HOW TO GET TO THE CUBIC HOUSES
Piet Bloom’s Cube Houses are located in the Houde Haven neighborhood, within walking distance of the pier, and Markthal. They are perfectly within walking distance of the center of Rotterdam.
The site is also well served by public transport in the city.
Blaak is one of the main stops of the Metro and tram: from here pass the lines A, B, C of the metro, and the tram lines 21 and 24.
WHAT TO SEE
The Kijk-Kubus house-museum is located at Overblaak 70. It is a splendid, fully furnished cube house that offers visitors the possibility of living in such a singularly shaped space.
Screens and panels offer insights and interesting information about the place.
The Kijk-Kubus house-museum is open from Monday to Sunday, including holidays, from 11:00 to 17:00.
The ticket costs €3.00 for adults, and €1.50 for children up to 12 years.
At number 30 of the Cubic Houses is the Kunstkubus which offers interesting exhibitions. In these parts we speak of “art cube”, or a place where art and architecture merge.
Open only on Saturdays and Sundays, from 11am to 6pm. The entrance ticket costs €3.50. Free admission up to 18 years old.
