Here are some of the places not to be missed if you are on holiday with children in Rotterdam.

MARITIME MUSEUM

Rotterdam Maritime Museum

One of Rotterdam’s museums not to be missed if you are on holiday with your children. It is located in the Blaak area, one of the main areas of the city, not far from the Cubic Houses.
An extraordinary journey between past and present, through interesting collections displaying vintage boats and port models. There is no shortage of interactive activities for the little ones.
Open Tuesday to Sunday, 10am to 5pm. Closed on Mondays.
The ticket costs 16.00€ from 16 years. Reduced, from 4 to 15 years and seniors costs 12.00€.

NATURAL HISTORY MUSEUM

Rotterdam Natural History Museum

A small and welcoming museum located in the Museum Park, particularly suitable if you are on holiday with children in Rotterdam. The proposal of this quite interesting museum is especially aimed at young visitors. Ideal for understanding the relationship between animals and humans. The permanent exhibition on “dead animals” goes in this sense.
Open Tuesday to Sunday, 10am to 5pm. Closed on Mondays.
The ticket costs €8.00 from 15 to 64 years. Reduced, from 5 to 14 years and seniors (65 years and over), costs €4.00.

MINIWORLD

Miniworld Children in Rotterdam

A small and large world in miniature, in 535sqm showing beautiful Dutch landscapes, including the largest indoor miniature port in all of Europe!
200 square meters out of 535 are completely dedicated to Rotterdam and its most representative monuments and places.
At Miniworld the day lasts 24 minutes. This is the time it takes to go from day to night. So you will have the opportunity to admire the beautiful models at dusk… for the happiness of your children in Rotterdam.

Miniworld, is located at Weena 745, about 500 meters from the Central Train Station.
Unless otherwise indicated, it is open Wednesday to Friday from 12:00 to 17:00. Saturday, Sunday and in the months of July and August, it is open from 10:00 to 17:00.
The standard ticket, from 12 years of age, costs €12.95 per person. Children from 3 to 11 years pay the reduced rate of €9.25.

ROEL LANGERAGPARK

A park much loved by the Dutch who, in these parts, like to spend their time pleasantly, or prefer to run.
The little ones will love it instead for the presence of the aquarium and zoo, among the most beautiful in the Netherlands.
Various animal species can be admired. Walk among the monkeys or through the underwater tunnel among colorful fish.
Devote half a day to visit the whole area.
Open every day from 09:00 to 17:00 (times vary according to season and on the occasion of special occasions).
The standard ticket costs €24.50 from 13 years of age. Children from 3 to 12 years pay €20.
You arrive by tram and bus.
The central station is about 1km away.
