Getting around Sinaia

You can easily move around the center on foot. In about 10 minutes on foot, you will reach the Casino and Monastero, in the city center. Public transport is ideal for medium-range travel. The cable car, on the other hand, allows you to reach the highest peaks in the country.

BIKE RESORT

Getting around Sinaia by bike is a comfortable method and, above all, the best option to discover fantastic nature trails, scattered around the city.

Bike Resort, in this sense, is a fantastic project that includes four trails, varying in difficulty and length, for a total of approximately 9 km. They start from the summit at 1,400 m and descend to the lower cable car station. The routes are all excellently signposted. A one-day bike pass costs 143 lei per adult, and 83 lei for children aged 4 to 12. A two-day pass costs 231 lei (reduced, 133 lei) from Monday to Friday, and 238 lei (reduced, 136 lei) on weekends. A single climb costs 20 lei and 15 lei, respectively. A five-climb ticket is also available for 90 lei and 53 lei (reduced), and a ten-climb ticket costs 169 lei and 116 lei.

From the earth … to the sky, in the heart of the Bucegi Mountains. Gondola Sinaia is the service to move up to 2000 meters in height.
Two different cable cars. The first, Gondola Sinaia , operates from 1000 to 1400 meters. It works Monday, Wednesday and Sunday, from 09:00 to 17:00. Tuesday, from 12.00 to 17.00
The other, Gondola Cota , from 1400 to 2000 meters, runs every day, from 09:30 to 16:30.

GETTING AROUND SINAIA BY BUS

The three lines, T1, T2, and T3, all depart from Platoul Izvor, not far from the Sinaia South train station. The lines share the same route for more than half, then continue along different routes to the north.
It takes about an hour to complete the entire journey.
Line T4 connects Gara and Telegondola. Line T5 is a sort of extension of the previous line, stopping at Market Place.

You can travel around Sinaia by bus, reaching the main points of interest.
Route T1 starts at 6:00 AM and ends at 9:00 PM.
Route T2 operates from 6:20 AM to 10:20 PM. The terminus is the cable car station, until operating hours. When the cable car closes, line T2 limits its route to the Piateta Foisor station.
Finally, the T3 line runs from 6:30 AM to 10:00 PM, terminating at Gura Pădurii. The T4 line operates from 8:50 AM to 6:45 PM.

SINAIA PUBLIC TRANSPORT TICKETS 2025

Moving around Sinaia by bus, you can buy single-ride tickets , at the price of 3 LEI per adult. Tickets can be purchased directly on board from the driver.

To use the cable car, you can purchase the ticket for the ascent or descent only, at a cost of 44 LEI per adult, and 34 LEI for children aged 5 to 14. Round trips cost 75 and 50 LEI respectively.
You can also buy the pass for the two cable cars. Two ascents, or two descents, cost 75 LEI full fare and 44 LEI reduced. The pass to get on and off with the two cable cars costs 119 LEI per adult and 75 LEI reduced.
Children under the age of 5 travel for free.

Tickets for the Sinaia Gondola can be purchased at the ticket offices located at the entrance.
