Getting around Sinaia

You can easily move around the center on foot. In about 10 minutes on foot, you will reach the Casino and Monastero, in the city center. Public transport is ideal for medium-range travel. The cable car, on the other hand, allows you to reach the highest peaks in the country.

BIKE RESORT

Getting around Sinaia by bike is a comfortable method and, above all, the best option to discover fantastic nature trails, scattered around the city.

Bike Resort, in this sense, is a fantastic project that includes four trails, varying in difficulty and length, for a total of about 9 km. They start from the top of the 1400m to go down to the lower station of the cable car. The routes are all well signposted. The bike pass for the whole day costs 114LEI per adult, and 66LEI for children aged 4 to 12. For one climb , however, the price is, respectively, 20 and 15LEI. Also available the ticket for 5 climbs at a cost of 72 and 42LEI.

From the earth … to the sky, in the heart of the Bucegi Mountains. Gondola Sinaia is the service to move up to 2000 meters in height.
Two different cable cars. The first, Gondola Sinaia , operates from 1000 to 1400 meters. It works Monday, Wednesday and Sunday, from 09:00 to 17:00. Tuesday, from 12.00 to 17.00
The other, Gondola Cota , from 1400 to 2000 meters, runs every day, from 09:30 to 16:30.

GETTING AROUND SINAIA BY BUS

Only three lines operate in the city, active all year round, from Monday to Sunday.
The three lines T1, T2 and T3 all depart from Platoul Izvor, not far from the Sinaia Sud railway station. then continue along different itineraries, to the north.
It takes about an hour to complete an entire journey.
In certain periods of the year, the service is enhanced by the T4 line , active on request, from Market Place to Tirul cu Porumbei.

By bus it is possible getting around Sinaia, reaching the main points of interest.
The T1 itinerary starts at 06.00 and ends at 21.00.
Route T2 operates from 06.20 to 22.20. Caoolinea is the cable car station, up to the opening hours. When the cable car closes, the T2 line limits the journey to the Piateta Foisor station.
Finally, the T3 line runs from 06:40 to 19:40, with terminus at Gura Pădurii. The line crosses, among other things, Castelul Peleş, a of the main attractions of Sinisa. On Saturdays and Sundays, this route has three detours at the Şeţu cemetery, leaving the Izvor plateau at 7.40, 9.40 and 10.40.

PUBLIC TRANSPORT TICKETS

Moving around Sinaia by bus, you can buy single-ride tickets , at the price of 2LEI per adult. Tickets can be purchased directly on board from the driver.

To use the cable car, you can purchase the ticket for the ascent or descent only, at a cost of 35LEI per adult, and 27LEI for children aged 5 to 14. Round trips cost 60 and 40LEI respectively.
You can also buy the pass for the two cable cars. Two ascents, or two descents, cost 60LEI full fare and 35LEI reduced. The pass to get on and off with the two cable cars costs 95LEI per adult and 60LEI reduced.
Children under the age of 5 travel for free.

Tickets for the Sinaia Gondola can be purchased at the ticket offices located at the entrance.
