Snow is of course the great protagonist of a holiday in Poiana Brasov. For about 4 months, between December and March, all ski lovers can try their hand at over 13 km of slopes, between 1000 and 1799 meters high.

WHAT TO SEE IN POIANA BRASOV

THE VILLAGE

The rather small village can be visited in a few hours. Despite this, it reserves pleasant surprises. Starting with the small Biserica Sfântul Ioan Botezătorul, a rather recent Orthodox church, built according to the canons of a typical mountain place.
Not far away, in Strada Poiana Soarelui 229, you will find an excellent Scoala Ski si Snowboard where you can rent tools for skiing and have lessons with really competent instructors.

For a luxury holiday in Poiana Brasov, there is no shortage of accommodation offers from 4 stars upwards.
Ana Spa is a relaxing spa attached to a luxury hotel. You can take advantage of the parking and SPA service even without being a hotel guest, paying 120 lei. Guests can enjoy a dry sauna, heated outdoor or indoor whirlpool and a swimming pool.

THE PATHS

Poiana Brasov has fantastic and impressive hiking and walking trails in the Southern Carpathians, on Mount Postăvaru.
Do not miss the visit of Pietre Lui Solomon less than an hour’s walk.
The latter is a favorite destination for families and friends who come to relax in the area. Fantastic barbecues, picnics and lots of nature.

There are numerous more or less demanding routes to tackle during a holiday in Poiana Brasov.
Routes to be covered on foot or by bike. And, also, climbing.
In summer, trekking and cycling enthusiasts can take beautiful mountain trails. At the local riding schools, however, you can take long horseback rides.

THE SURROUNDINGS

Brasov, about 10 kilometers away, certainly deserves a more or less thorough visit. It can be reached quite easily by bus 20.

Rasnov, less than 10 kilometers away, is a beautiful Transylvanian village, with a stunning 14th century citadel, churches, trails and beautiful nature trails. A place not to be missed, together with Brasov.
