HOW TO GET TO ROTTERDAM

PLANE

The best and fastest way to get to your destination is by plane. The Rotterdam/The Hague international airport it is just a few kilometers away from the city center. From the airport, you can easily reach the city by public transport or, alternatively, by renting a car. Outside the arrivals terminal, there is a bus station. At the airport the directions are clear and clearly visible.

RET is the local company that manages the excellent public transport system. From the terminal, you can use the convenient 33 line, operating from Rotterdam Centraal to Meijersplein.

TRAIN

Recently built, the central railway station is one of the main connection hubs of the Netherlands. The station is also an interchange of the subway, and of numerous city bus and tram lines.

By train, connections are guaranteed to the main Dutch destinations, including the nearby The Hague, accessible by metro line E. Every day, connections in Thalys with Brussels, Paris, Avignon, Lille, Marseille. Further links are guaranteed with Antwerp, Breda and Schiphol.

CAR

The A4 and A20 motorways pass through Rotterdam, easily accessible by car. However, considering the efficient transport network, the car may not be the best solution to reach the city.

From Amsterdam, you have to travel about 70 kilometers, most of them on the A4 highway, to get to your destination. Antwerp, not far from the border, is just 100 kilometers. A little further south, Brussels is about 150km while, Paris is about 450km. To the east, Berlin is about 700km.
