Spartan, and with rather small dimensions, Milos Airport is an international airport, mainly operating during the summer, concurrently with the holidays.
It is located about 9 km south of Plaka, the capital of the island, and 6 from Adamas, and from the port.
The incredibly reduced length of its track makes it usable exclusively by small aircraft; therefore, air traffic is limited only to connections with Athens and sometimes Thessaloniki. The project for a future expansion of the airport has been shelved (at least temporarily) due to economic problems.
Inside, you will find only the minimal essential services. A small police station. One Bar, Yiagos Cafe, and just two rental agencies: EuropCar and Athena Travel. For the rest, you will not find anything at all.

By taxi, car, or by bus, you can move from the airport, and reach the surrounding villages. The taxi is the most comfortable, and obviously most expensive solution. The bus is ideal for saving money. If you are traveling in a group, the savings are not so obvious.
CAR
At the airport, you will find only two companies. Our advice is to book your car well in advance, compared to the time of arrival. Through this link, you will find the best offers.
TAXI
Outside the airport, in conjunction with the arrival of your flight, several taxis are at your disposal.
Milos Taxis offers a great service, with modern cars and clear and not too expensive rates. An Adamas-Airport trip costs approximately 13.00€, to which you have to add the baggage surcharge. For the capital, the price is around €20.
Choose you, always, official vehicles, with clearly visible logos and licenses. Always always check the rate to be paid.
BUS
During the summer period 8 daily connections are guaranteed between and Adamas, which, with the capital, is the main village of the Greek island. Right from Adamas, you can reach the main destinations by bus.
From Adamas to Milos Airport from 10:15 (first race) to 18:20 (last race). The frequency varies from a minimum of 60′, to about two hours.
10:15 – 11:20 – 12:15 – 13:30 – 14:10 – 16:20 – 17:20 – 18:20
In the opposite direction, first run at 10:50 and last run at 18:50.
The ticket costs 1.80€, and is dried directly on board the vehicle.
