Multiple public parking lots are identified by the letter P followed by a number. For those wishing to park as close as possible to the center, P11 and P12 are the best solutions. Obviously they are also among the dearest parking lots!
The P12 (Kornmarkt/Schloss) is located near the funicular, not far from the Marktplatz plant. It has 258 parking spaces. The price is € 2.50 for each hour until the fourth, and then decrease slightly. The maximum rate is €20.50 for 24h.
The P13 (Karlplatz), very central, is located near the town hall. It has cheaper rates than P12 equal to €2 each hour for a maximum of € 19 for 24h. It has 279 overall parking spaces.
Both parking lots offer the possibility of recharging electric cars.
We point out that during the weekend, during the day and in conjunction with events, parking spaces at the P12 and P13 are really limited. The P11, not far away and close to the University, represents a valid alternative.
For people with disabilities there are several parking lots both in the center and in the surrounding areas.
In the area of the historic center (Altstadt) 22 overall parking spaces are available for people with disabilities in the following streets:
Friedrich-Ebert-Anlage is a parking lot unrelated with a capacity of 72 parking spaces. It is located on the street of the same name near the Anlage hotel.
You can park for free in the following time slots:
– From Monday to Friday, from 00:01 to 07:59 in the morning, and from 19:01 to midnight.
– Saturday, from 00:01 to 07:59 and from 14:01 to midnight.
– Sunday, all day.
Obviously, being small enough you may have to wait some time to find free place.
Alternatively, the P10 (Friedrich-Ebert-Platz) not far from here, is always free every day after 20:00 until 07:59 on the morning of the following day.
