HOW TO GET TO INNSBRUCK

PLANE

Kranebitten is the main airport of the city, just a little less than 4 kilometers from the center. It is inserted in a truly unique and particular context, in the heart of the Alps, surrounded by impressive mountains. This conformation often makes the landing phase difficult. The airport is the hub of Tyrolean Jet Services, the Welcome Air and the Austrian Arrows.

TRAIN

Innsbruck Hauptbahnhof is the main railway station of the city of Innsbruck, as well as one of the busiest and most important of the railway network of Austria. It is connected to the main destinations of Austria, Germany and Switzerland. Furthermore, it is one of the main connection stations of the S1, S2, S3, S4 and S5 lines of the Tyrol’s S-Bahn

The connections with Italy are guaranteed by the Brenner Railway which connects Verona to the Austrian city, through Rovereto, Trento, Bolzano and bypassing the Bolzano Pass. The line continues for the German Munich and Berlin. Another important link is the line connecting the Hungarian capital to Switzerland; the line crosses the cities of Budapest (Hungary), Vienna, Linz, Salzburg, Wörgl, Feldkirch, Bregenz/Zurich and Basel (Switzerland).

CAR

Distances to important European tourist destinations are not prohibitive. Rather. From Munich it is just 165 kilometers, while, from Berlin, you have to travel around 750. Vienna is about 480 kilometers; Prague, however, just over 550 kilometers. Less than 300 kilometers separate it from Switzerland Zurich. Distances increase for France; Lyon is 750 kilometers. The Austrian motorway network is extremely efficient. Speed ​​limits are 130 km/h; always remember to respect these limits. All sections are tolls. Remember to purchase the appropriate OBLIGATORY stamp, or “vignette”, when entering Austria.
