An event capable of attracting nearly 300,000 individuals every year from every corner of the country.
A Carnival party that, for many, is among the most beautiful in Europe.
It will be for its atmosphere. For the warmth of this city. For the welcome of the inhabitants. Or for the pleasant weather even in February … there is no doubt that the Sitges Carnival is rightfully one of the must-see parties for winter 2025 in Spain.
At the Sitges Carnival (or Carnestoltes, as they call it around here), 7 days of dancing, partying and parades throughout the city await you. And, of course, the large participation of the gay community and LGTB. After all, this is still the most gay-friendly city in Spain.
A Carnival that, just this year, should be celebrated in total normality. And it would be appropriate to say … finally.
In addition to the party, the event will be the right opportunity to admire a truly beautiful city, with a charming historic center and a beautiful, and endless, waterfront. Not to mention the short distance from Barcelona, just 30 minutes by car!

PRACTICAL INFO
SITGES CARNIVAL PROGRAM 2025
Here is the complete and updated program of the 2025 edition:
- Thursday 27th February, at 18:30. Arrival of the King at Placa Vidal i Quadras and procession to the Town Hall along the route that crosses Baluard Vidal i Quadras, Fonollar, Port De n’Alegre, Rafael Llopart, Sant Damià, Àngel Vidal, Cap de la Vila, Major. The proclamation follows at 8:30 pm.
- Saturday 01st, at 12:00. The Crazy bed Race from Victor Balaguer, Salvador i Forment, Pepe De Garraf, Joan Martínez i Sardà with return to Víctor Balaguer
- Sunday 02nd and Tuesday 04th at 19:00. Parade of Disbauxa and Extermini. These are the two traditional processions. Both depart from Avinguda Sofia, and, following the same route, cross Passeig de la Ribera (seafront), La Fragata, Passeig de la Ribera (mountain side), Bassa Rodona, Plaça del Pou Vedre, and end in Espalter.
- Wednesday 05th, from 19:00. Fire of the King. The event that officially closes the 2024 edition of the city’s Carnival. At 20:00, the Farewell Ceremony through the path that crosses Passeig de la Ribera, c / Bonaire, c / Parellades and Cap de la Vila.
THE GAY CARNIVAL OF SITGES 2025
A sort of event within the event that will lead the way to the party. The Gay Carnival starts on February 23rd with a really rich program.
During the Noche de las Mantillas, participants will have to wear the famous cloak of weddings and funerals. La Noche Rosa dedicated to women. The funny Noche de las Viudas (widows) or Tourists.
At the Soho Bar, one of the most famous gay clubs, the competition and award ceremony for the Best Costumes takes place.
