Efteling is located in Kaatsheuvel, just over an hour’s drive from Rotterdam, and about 90 minutes from Amsterdam.
The car is certainly the most convenient way to get to your destination. Public transport, however, is always preferable due to its lower environmental impact.
ARRIVING BY BUS
Getting to Efteling by public transport is quite simple and not particularly expensive.
The bus station is a 5-minute walk from the entrance to the amusement park.
From here lines 300, 301 depart and arrive for Tilburg and ‘s-Hertogenbosch.
The service is managed by Connexxion.
GETTING TO EFTELING FROM AMSTERDAM
Numerous trains leave every day from the capital and Schiphol international airport to Den Bosh (‘s-Hertogenbosch). The train takes approximately 45 minutes to reach its destination. The ticket costs just under €20 for adults and €2.50 for children (for the latter, unlimited travel all day)
From the central station of ‘s-Hertogenbosch, the bus leaves every 20/30 minutes and stops in Efteling in about 45 minutes. The ticket can be purchased online on the official website at a cost of €5.75 per adult.
The bus station is located a few minutes from ‘s-Hertogenbosch central station: as soon as you exit you will find it on your right.
HOW TO GET TO EFTELING FROM ROTTERDAM AND EINDHOVEN
From the main destinations in South Holland (including The Hague), to get to Efteling you need to reach Tilburg by train.
There are frequent (fast) connections in Intercity and Sprinter operated by NS.
Once you reach Tilburg, you can use the bus (lines 300 and 301 Connexxion) which reaches your destination in 20 minutes. The ticket costs €3.49 for adults and €2.50 for children and can be purchased directly online on the official website.
GETTING TO EFTELING BY CAR
From the capital it takes about 80 minutes to reach the beautiful Dutch park.
Efteling has a large car park, with numerous charging stations for electric cars.
Parking is located in front of the entrance. The cost is €15 for the whole day.
Parking is free for all guests of Hotel Efteling and the villages of Bosrijk and Loonsche Land. For the latter two, a special parking area is available near the main entrance to Bosrijk.
