For the center of Ajaccio, rather small, you move easily on foot. Buses, on the other hand, are the best solution for medium / long haul distances.
You can move to Ajaccio with the 12 urban lines that circulate within the municipality. The network consists of 5 regular lines (L1, L2, L3, L4 and L7), an on-demand service (LN) and 6 special lines and shuttles, including LINE 8 for the airport and the Ajaccio-Porticcio Maritime Shuttle.
Buses are generally available every day from Monday to Sunday, from 06: 30 to 20: 00. Stop points along the way are more than 270, many of which are accessible by people with reduced mobility.
The frequencies vary depending on the line.
The TCA company manages the transport system of the municipality; he also takes care of public transport within the villages belonging to the Communauté d’Agglomération du Pays Ajaccien, known as CAPA: Afa, Alata, Appietto, Cuttoli-Corticchiato, Peri, Sarrola-Carcopino, Tavaco, Valle di Mezzana and Villanova. Eight Lignes Villages serve these municipalities, of which 4 (TAD: Transport a Demande) available by reservation by calling the appropriate free number.
The single-ride ticket TICKET UNITÉ, costs 1€ and is valid for an entire journey without making connections, and does not apply to the 8 line. It can be purchased directly by bus. Ideal to move around Ajaccio in tranquility.
The 10 VOYAGES CARDS is a carnet from 10 single tickets at the cost of 9€, on sale at the TCA branches and offices.
For the Navette de Plage you must purchase the appropriate ticket at a cost of 2.20€ (3€ on board).
The AÉROPORT TICKET is valid only on line 8 from Napoleon Bonaparte Airport to Gare d’Ajaccio central railway station. It costs 10€, valid for a one-way trip, including a change.
Chemins de Fer de la Corse, is the railway line that connects Ajaccio, Bastia, Calvi, Casamozza, Mezzana and Ile Rousse. For all information regarding tickets, timetables and routes, we invite you to consult our special on HOW TO MOVE IN CORSICA.
La Périurbaine Ajaccienne it consists of only one section, connecting the centers of Ajaccio and Mezzana; tickets cost from 2 to 4€.
