Swarovski Crystal Worlds in Innsbruck. 2025 opening hours, tickets

Swarovski Crystal Worlds

Design. Fantasy. Creativity. Magic. Nature… and a truly unique and sparkling experience!

Wonder opens its doors to visitors at Swarovski Crystal Worlds (Kristallwelten), an iconic place where the beauty of precious crystal blends with Tyrolean tradition.

A one-of-a-kind museum, where international artists and designers have unleashed their magic, creativity, and all their extraordinary skills.

An extraordinary world born from the brilliant mind of André Heller. He was tasked (and succeeded) with creating something that went far beyond mere imagination.
Something that could be more than just a museum.

Inaugurated in 1995, on the centenary of the Swarovski company, Crystal Worlds is one of the most visited attractions in the entire country and undoubtedly a must-see on holiday in Innsbruck.

GETTING THERE

Kristallwelten is located at Kristallwelten 1, in the small town of Wattens, just over 20 km from Innsbruck.
The electric shuttle bus runs five times a day between Innsbruck’s main train station and the museum. The shuttle is the best and most sustainable option. Tickets can be purchased on board or directly with the admission ticket on the official website. It costs €8 for a one-way trip and €12 for a return trip. A 50% discount is available for children aged 6 to 17. Free for children up to 5 years old.

Trains and buses are sustainable and convenient alternatives, although less convenient because they do not offer direct routes. The closest train station is Fritzens, just over a 20-minute walk from the destination.

WHAT TO SEE

Swarovski Crystal Worlds

Swarovski Crystal Worlds extends over 7 hectares, more than double the size of its initial years.
Visitors are welcomed by a magnificent 17-meter-tall giant statue gushing water. Architectural Digest magazine has named it one of the most beautiful fountains in the world!
Around the giant lies an immense, attractive park with mazes, children’s games, unique installations, and even a carousel.

The seventeen exhibition rooms, inspired by 16th-century cabinets of curiosities, represent the pinnacle of the genius and creativity of great international artists, architects, and designers. Yayoi Kusama, James Turrell, Fernando Romero, and Niki de Saint Phalle are just some of the great names who have transformed their vision of reality into crystal. Andy Warhol, Salvador Dalí, and Brian Eno are among the great names who have inspired the artists.

The Museum has also been awarded the Austrian eco-label “Green Museum” and “Green Event Location” for its great commitment to sustainability.

EVENTS

Any time of year is perfect for visiting Kristallwelten. Every season offers something truly special. Whether it’s Christmas or Easter, with its markets and splendid decorations, or Halloween, with its spooky decorations. In summer, the outdoor park hosts wonderful circus shows.
