For public transportation, you can choose from various options based on your needs. All CTS tickets are valid for public transportation in Strasbourg and Kehl (tram line D).
STRASBOURG PUBLIC TRANSPORT TICKETS 2025
ALLER SIMPLE is a single ticket for bus or tram travel; it costs €1.90 on the Badgeo card and via the app, and €2.50 on board. Booklets of 2 or 10 tickets are also available, costing €3.80 and €17.30 respectively, valid for one person.
Under 12s and over 65s can purchase the ALLER SIMPLE reduced-fare booklet: 10 tickets for €15.40.

24H SOLO is a day ticket, valid for 24 hours. It allows unlimited travel on all buses, trams, Coaches Lines, and TER trains in Strasbourg, on Line D to Kehl; it costs €4.60 and is ideal if you want to make multiple trips. There is also a 3-DAY version, which costs €10.40.
If you’re traveling as a couple or three, you’ll find the 24H TRIO even more convenient. It costs €10.40 and allows three people unlimited travel on buses and trams over a 24-hour period.
In Strasbourg, environmental impact is a top priority. To this end, and in a (successful) attempt to limit traffic, several parking areas have been created at numerous tram and bus stops. And, to encourage the use of public transport, you can purchase the P+R TICKET. This is a special ticket that allows up to 7 people (!) to leave their cars in the parking lot and travel on public transport for the entire route. By the way, the car parks are always open 24 hours a day. Tickets are available for 24 hours (€7.20), 48 hours (€14.40), and 72 hours (€21.60). The price includes car parking and unlimited travel for up to 7 people on all public transport in Strasbourg (including tram line D). A truly convenient rate!
WHERE TO BUY PUBLIC TRANSPORT TICKETS IN STRASBOURG
The most convenient and economical way (tested by us) to purchase Strasbourg public transport tickets is undoubtedly via smartphone. Simply download the official “CTS Transports Strasbourg” app (for iOS and Android) to purchase tickets on your phone. During the activation process, you’ll need to enter your personal information and payment method, and that’s it.
By purchasing Strasbourg public transport tickets with the app (or alternatively with the Badgéo card), you can get a discounted rate compared to so-called “contactless tickets.” These are available at CTS retailers and at the numerous automatic machines near the main bus and tram stops.
A single-journey ticket can also be purchased on board the vehicle for €2.50 instead of €1.90. This is obviously a solution we strongly advise against!
