Ljubljana Jože Pučnik is the airport that serves the city of Ljubljana, from which it is about 25 kilometers away. It is located in the small village of Brnik, 10 km east of Kranj.
It is the most important airport in Slovenia, with almost 2 million passengers in transit, before the Pandemic.
It offers daily connections to numerous European destinations, including the UK, Greece, Germany, France and Belgium. The Terminal is not particularly large, but it has all the essential services, including shopping areas, bars and duty-free.
Ljubljana Airport has some areas dedicated to children, with games and books, ideal for waiting for your flight. For the little ones, changing areas are available, located inside the women’s restroom (and specially indicated by signs). FREE strollers are also available for families to move around the airport and reach the boarding area. The wheelchairs can be delivered in the boarding area.

The Slovenian capital can be easily reached by car, taxi and bus.
The A2 connects Ljubljana Airport and the city. Directly at the airport you can rent your car at the best price. It is always preferable to book online, through a special comparator to get the car that suits your needs, and your pocket.
Taxis are stationed outside the airport’s terminal B. They are easily identifiable by the presence of the permits positioned under the windshield. The taxi service is not controlled by the airport authority: make sure in advance of the total fare for the trip. A surcharge is always applied for travel to / from the airport and in the case of large luggage.
The bus station is located just outside the terminal, near the car park. Arriva (a DB company) and Nomago are the transport companies that operate at the airport and offer direct connections to the capital, Kranj and Bled.
The ARRIVA bus is active every day from Ljubljana Airport to the Capital, from 05:00 to 20:00 and, in the opposite direction, from 05:23 to 20:13, with departures every hour approximately. The bus takes about 45 minutes to reach the city. The ticket costs €3.60 per person.
For Kranj, however, it takes about 15 minutes to travel the only 10 km journey. The ticket costs €1.80 per person. The bus runs from early morning until about 2.30am. For Bled, however, it takes about 30 minutes. The ticket costs €4.10 per person.
