Bonifacio. How to arrive by boat, plane, train, car. Guide and info

Figari Sud Corse

The airport of Figari, one of the four present in Corsica, is located in the south of the island, about 25 kilometers from the city and 20 from Porto Vecchio. Despite the presence of the island’s longest runway, for passenger traffic, it is the third of Corsica. Flights throughout the main French cities are guaranteed all year round. Air traffic, of course, increases with the arrival of summer and the greater number of holiday-makers. In July and August, the greatest influx of travelers is recorded.

In total, just under 1 million passengers pass through here each year. In the single terminal you will find all the essential services, including a duty free shop.

CARS AND TAXIS

You can rent your car directly at the airport by choosing from some of the rental agencies present on site. Alternatively, outside the arrivals hall, there is a taxi rank. Check the fare in advance and choose the one that is most convenient for you.

BUS

Corsica Bus, the island’s road transport company, is working to reactivate the shuttle from Figari to Bonifacio, which stopped on 1 September 2014. At the moment, from the airport, only the shuttle to the town of Porto Vecchio is active. Once you have reached the latter, you can always move by bus to reach other locations in Corsica including Ajaccio and Bonifacio.

The Figari Sud Corse – Porto Vecchio shuttle operates exclusively from June to September, every day including Sunday. There are only two trips per day, at 08:00 and 14:45 from the airport and at 13:00 and 18:25 in the opposite direction. The single-fare ticket costs €10 per person.
