Once a month, all visitors have the opportunity to access the apartments and the Royal Park for FREE. The Royal Palace of Caserta, in fact, is part of the “Sunday at the Museum” circuit, an initiative of the Ministry of Culture which provides free entry every first Sunday of the month to museums and state archaeological parks.
Here is the calendar of the next days in which to visit Royal Palace of Caserta for free:
– 07 January
– 04 February
– 03 March
– 07 April
– 05 May
– 02 June
– 07 July
– 04 August
– 01 September
– 06 October
– 03 November
– 01 December
During free Sundays the English Garden and the Court Theater cannot be visited.
It is mandatory to have an entrance ticket for your visit even during the free Sundays at the Palace.
Entrance to the Royal Apartments is limited, with access every 15 minutes. Given the great demand on special days like these, tickets could easily be sold out.
On the Monday preceding the free Sunday, free tickets are made available on the ticketone website. Tickets are generally available from 8.30am. Book online as soon as possible because as soon as the sale starts the tickets are literally snapped up. You must categorically indicate the time of your visit (not editable).
If you are unable to book them, don’t be discouraged because you can get them at the on-site ticket office on the day of the visit (but expect long lines at the entrance).
If, however, you intend to visit only the park you will have no difficulty finding free tickets on ticketone.
The visit to the complex is always free for all children under the age of 18, disabled people and their family members and other certain categories (university teachers, practicing tourist guides…)
In this case, tickets must be purchased directly from the ticket offices of the exhibition venues, showing a valid document certifying condition and/or age.
