In August, art, culture, entertainment for the whole family with colorful and fragrant flowers.
In Christian Andersen’s hometown, for 4 days, you can admire more than 180000 species, flowers and plants, arranged in original compositions, according to a specific theme.
A riot of scents and colors, for a truly evocative event, in which nature and flowers blend perfectly, transforming Odense into a wonderful urban garden.
Completely free, the Odense Flower Festival (Blomsterfestival) attracts over 100 thousand visitors every year, including professionals, inhabitants and tourists. Undoubtedly, really impressive numbers for a festival that, this year, makes 24 years of life.
In addition to admiring the species and the evocative compositions, you can bring home a piece of the festival. After the closing of the event, in fact, starting from the 15:00 of 19th August, you can buy all the flowers and compositions used during the Odense Flower Festival.
Of course, the event is also the right occasion to admire this beautiful Danish town, about two hours drive from the Capital.
When you reach Odense, you can easily get around on foot, or move around the city with comfortable and efficient public transport.
“The beautiful. The artificial. The wild one” is the theme of the 2024 edition of the Odense Flower Festival. The goal is to create joy, positive and enjoyable experiences and to bring some of nature’s positive qualities to the city.
You will have around 120 points and stations where you can rent your bike FREE for 24 hours.
Those coming by car will find the possibility to park in one of the many areas in the city.
Throughout the pedestrian area of the city center, flyers and brochures with the official program of the Odense Flower Festival are distributed free of charge, and all the stands located in the city. The official opening ceremony will take place on Thursday 15th August in front of the town hall at 5.00 pm.

Please note that attending the event is free and does not require the purchase of any ticket.
The plants used during the festival will be sold on Monday 19 August, from 2pm to 7pm. From 2pm to 3pm priority and exclusive access for Fyens Stiftstidende season ticket holders. From 3pm, FREE access for everyone.
